Renovations and Alterations

87 prospect

Originally built in 1969 as the University's Computer Center, 87 Prospect Avenue, required an extensive hazardous materials abatement in order to continue as a functional structure. New administrative departments were also scheduled for occupancy post abatement. The project had a highly aggressive schedule with programming, design and construction completed in a six month time frame.

After exploring a number of options proposed by Ford 3 the decision was made to upgrade and alter the building interior following the abatement to better suit current program needs and expectations regarding the character of contemporary work spaces. Architectural modification of the building interior was accompanied by new finishes and lighting throughout. The result is a bright and inviting work environment with office suites designed to facilitate interaction between department staff.
