Ford 3’s design philosophy is to learn from the past, understand the present, and create a future. Our projects are multi layered where solutions are developed by addressing multiple perspectives: contextual, program, human needs, sustainability and image. We embrace the tension between historic preservation and contemporary design. We study existing buildings for clues regarding original intent and purpose. Which elements have made it successful and which have failed? By applying a contemporary understanding of space, light and materials, our work captures the strength of each perspective.

Ford 3 collaborates on ideas and designs from their office located in historic Pennington. Under the leadership of Founding Partners Moira McClintock, Quinn Schwenker and Jerry Ford, our staff is at the core of the firm’s success.
